The story of how this Ideco Drilling Rig comes to American Energy Production Inc. in a long an interesting tome.

These incredibly rare drilling rigs were no where to be found or had. But through tenacious research and relentless searching combined with a lot of luck, a unit was found sitting in warehouse in a foreign country.

When the unit was originally bought new over two decades ago, it was shipped south of our borders intended to be tasked for deep water well drilling. The buyers quickly realized it was far more drilling rig than their needs required. So they tucked it away in a warehouse, unused, and forgot about it.

It was there AENP found it, right where it was laid out two decades ago, and then some. The only question was how well, or even if it would be operational now after sitting for so long.

The drilling industry recognizes these units to be top of the line; a "the first choice" drilling rig. So the unit was quietly shipped back into the US, and the engine works were completely reconditioned as though it has actually been working hard for twenty years. A new paint job went on. And Voila!, AENP had a "New" Ideco Drilling Rig. Even though it it was technically over 20 years old, it was finally for the first time being put into the service it was intended for: "Oil Drilling".

The "Old Timers" truly understand what a find this is. These highly sought after units simply aren't available for sale, in any condition.
