The Padgett Ranch Project is managed by American Energy Productions Bend Arch Production and located on the 1,100 acre Padgett Ranch, South and East approximately three miles from the town of Palo Pinto in the County of Palo Pinto, Texas.
The lease was originally acquired as one lease with approximately 10 producing wells originally drilled in the 1960's, 70's and 80's. While many of the original wells are still in production the source rock for the hydrocarbons produced from the various well formations is now known to be the Barnett Shale.
The Barnett Shale is a blanket formation across the Ranch that is approximately 150 ft thick. For Millions of years it has produced gas and oil that has filled the formations above it that have been produced for years. The formations that exist above the BarnettShale are known by names such as the Strawn Sands, Atoka Sands, Bend Conglomerates and the Marble Falls to name a few and most of these are present on the Padgett Ranch.
AENP's Bend Arch Production has already drill wells into the Barnett Shale formation on the Padgett Ranch and has plans to drill more to further develop the hydrocarbon potential on the Ranch.
